A tu Paso — Privacy policy
Summary
A tu Paso is a personal checklist app. It works entirely on your phone: it has no Internet access (it does not request that permission) and has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking services. The app sends no data to nawqira or to third parties, and nawqira has no access to your lists.
What the app stores on your phone
- Your lists: the title, the items, which ones are checked and their order; how you want each list's progress shown; whether you use it in "List" or "Step by step" and which item you are on; whether you have saved it for later; and internal creation and last-change dates, which the app does not show.
- Your colour theme.
- Each widget's settings (which list and which view it shows). They stay on this phone and are not included in the backup.
Everything is stored in the app's private storage. The app requests no special permissions: it does not use location, the camera, the microphone, contacts or notifications. The "Help me start" tips and the example lists are built into the app, and the app never reads the text of your lists to choose them.
Home screen
If you add a shortcut or a widget, the list name, and in the widget also its items, are shown on your phone's home screen, like any other content on that screen.
Backup and moving to a new phone
- Google backup: if it is turned on on your phone, your lists and your theme are included in it. On Android 9 or later they are only backed up if the backup can be end-to-end encrypted (phone with a screen lock); on Android 8 the app cannot require that encryption. Google stores the backup in your account under its own terms; nawqira has no access to it.
- New phone: if you copy your data to a new phone with Android's tool, your lists and your theme move too.
- Other manufacturers' backup tools may work differently and are outside our control.
When information leaves the phone: only if you decide
- If you write to us from About → Contact and feedback, your email app opens and we receive what you send (see the next section).
- If you open a link (this policy or our website), your browser opens. The services hosting the website (GitHub and Cloudflare) receive technical data such as your IP address, as with any website. Our website uses no cookies or analytics.
Messages you send us
- Data: your email address, the content of your message (with whatever you choose to include in it) and the app version, which is in the subject line.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry and follow it up.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries you send us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Retention: as long as needed to answer the enquiry and any follow-up; then it is deleted, unless a legal obligation requires keeping it.
- Gmail: we receive and answer email with Gmail, a Google service, which processes messages under its own terms and may do so outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to nawqira@gmail.com. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
How to delete the app's data
- A list: ⋮ at the top of the list → "Delete list" (the app asks for confirmation). An item: "Edit" → the item's ⋮ → "Delete".
- Everything: uninstall the app, or go to Android Settings → Apps → A tu Paso → Storage → Clear data.
- Backup: you can view or delete backups in your Google account's backup settings.
Children
The app collects no personal data from anyone. If you are under 14, do not send us personal data by email: ask your mother, father or guardian to write to us for you.
Changes
If a future version includes ads or another feature that processes data, we will update this policy and the store listing before releasing it and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent in the app. The date above shows when this version took effect.
